Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American entrepreneur for over twenty years. she is currently president and the controlling owner for the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is a native of California has an extremely wealthy family background. The father of her Jerry Buss was a real-estate tycoon, who was later the owner of the Lakers as well as other sports companies. Following the divorce of her parents in 1972 and she started to feel as if she was abandoned. She joined the family business in the age of 19 and became the general manager of the Los Angeles Strings tennis team. After that, she established in the Los Angeles Blades team of professional roller hockey. Before she became vice president of the Lakers She was also the president of the Great Western Forum. Buss and her five sisters were heirs to the Lakers majority ownership following the death of Buss' father in 2013. Each sister had an equal voice. She took on the role of the president for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also partner in the ownership of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling group).
